Brilliance Labs — Bright Ideas Think Tank
Academic papers, original research, and popular-level writing at the intersection of faith, innovation, and culture. It’s where we ask the harder questions and take the time to answer them.
Our Mission
Every initiative in the lab generates questions that deserve more than surface-level answers. Bright Ideas Think Tank is where we do that work — producing academic papers, original survey research, and practical writing on the questions our field work keeps surfacing.
Our research intern is a PhD candidate at Oxford University. Our topics are shaped by what we encounter in the field — real problems that surface through our consulting, our grants program, and our partnerships with missionaries and organizations around the world. Some of it gets published in journals. Some of it becomes the foundation for a new initiative.

What We Study
What does Scripture actually say about money, value, and stewardship in a digital age? We’re exploring how the church should think about emerging monetary systems — not reactively, but theologically.
As artificial intelligence reshapes every industry, the church needs a real framework to leverage it. Not panic, and not blind enthusiasm, but a cautious approach to technological innovation that can propel the church forward. We’re developing practical ethical guidance for mission-driven organizations.
Bitcoin, open-source networks, and peer-to-peer tools are changing how value moves across borders. We study these systems with a focus on their real-world application in global missions — where the stakes are highest.
Collaborate With Us
We’re always looking for the next question the church needs answered. If your organization is facing a challenge at the intersection of faith, finance, or technology — let’s talk.
