What We're Building
Brilliance Labs operates like an umbrella — one lab, many initiatives. Each one tackles a different problem, speaks to a different audience, and carries its own voice. What holds them together is a shared conviction: the church should be leading, not following, when it comes to the hardest problems of our time.
Some of these initiatives are global. Others are rooted in a single neighborhood. Some are years into the work. Others are just getting started. All of them are ours.
A growing portfolio of initiatives. One lab. Bright ideas put to work.
The newest addition to the Brilliance Labs family. Thank God for Bitcoin is a media and education platform equipping Christians to understand and leverage Bitcoin for the glory of God and the good of people everywhere. Through books, a podcast, a documentary, and an annual conference, TGFB has become one of the most recognized voices in the faith-and-Bitcoin conversation. Now operating under the Brilliance Labs umbrella, we're helping develop TGFB's next chapter from within our lab.
TGFB26 — the annual conference — hits Fort Worth, Texas on April 9, 2026. A full day of hands-on learning with some of the most trusted voices in Bitcoin and theology.
Missions organizations working in creative-access countries face a broken financial system — blocked transfers, exposed donor data, and fees that drain every dollar before it reaches the field. Frontier Finance Consulting partners with these organizations to navigate digital currency solutions built for the way they actually work.
The engagement starts with a $2,000 pilot consultation: a full assessment of your funding pipeline, a custom implementation roadmap, hands-on training for your team, and ninety days of follow-up support.
Not everything we build crosses borders. Portland Grants & Community is our most local initiative — microgrants, programming, and direct investment for Kingdom entrepreneurs and community organizations right here in Portland, Oregon. This is where the lab meets the neighborhood.
The Spring 2026 micro-grant round is open now. Grants of approximately $5,000 are available for 501(c)(3) organizations, fiscally sponsored projects, and grassroots initiatives serving the Portland community. Deadline: April 25, 2026.
Where Frontier Finance consults, Bitcoin for Missions builds community. This initiative is a practitioner network for missionaries and missions finance leaders learning to use Bitcoin in the field — through international design labs, hands-on training, collaborative research, international Bitcoin grants, and a growing global community of practitioners doing the work every day.
Three international design labs conducted so far (El Salvador, Kenya, India). Over 100 mission leaders trained. An active practitioner network on Signal and FEDI. A published white paper. And the Bitcoin for Ministry Summit coming April 2026 for missions finance leaders ready to go deeper.
Every initiative in the lab generates questions that deserve real answers — not hot takes, but rigorous research. Bright Ideas Think Tank is where we do that work: academic papers, popular-level writing, and original research at the intersection of faith, innovation, and culture. We're building a body of thought that the church can actually use.
Our research intern is a PhD candidate at Oxford University. Our topics range from the ethics of artificial intelligence to the theology of money to the role of decentralized systems in global missions. Some of it gets published in journals. Some of it becomes the foundation for a new initiative.
AI is reshaping every sector, and mission-driven organizations shouldn't be the last to benefit. Ignite AI Consulting helps nonprofits, churches, and Kingdom enterprises assess, adopt, and own their own AI tools — so the technology serves the mission, not the other way around.
From workflow automation to custom AI assistants to strategic roadmapping, we meet organizations where they are and build toward where they're going. The goal isn't novelty — it's capacity.
