Brilliance Labs is pleased to announce the recipients of our eighth round of micro-grant awards. This was our largest and most competitive round to date, with 25 wonderful ministries and organizations applying for grants. These grants honor the legacy of Central Bible Church by funding churches and organizations that are making a difference in our city, especially among those under-resourced or otherwise neglected by majority culture churches and ministries.
## Charis Counseling Associates — $5,750
Charis Counseling Associates focuses on making professional therapy accessible regardless of financial barriers. This grant funds an initiative they’re launching in partnership with Transitional Youth to offer professional mental health support to unhoused and housing-insecure young adults.
## Divine Threads — $5,247
Divine Threads serves women experiencing poverty, emotional distress, and isolation from situations including domestic violence and trafficking. Funding supports The Rebuilding Package for one of their program participants.
## Echo Ranch — $5,000
Echo Ranch uses rescue horses for mentoring foster kids, at-risk teens, seniors, and vulnerable populations. This grant is designated for updating their round pen and arena footing areas, both of which are crucial for their ministry.
## Parklane Christian Reformed Church — $5,000
Parklane Christian Reformed Church is an East Portland ministry focused on relationship-building and gospel sharing. Funding supports purchasing a van for their youth ministry, used for transporting students in East Portland and Gresham.
## Portland Central Young Life — $5,000
Portland Central Young Life is a Christian organization engaging adolescents disinterested in traditional church settings. This grant funds their student leadership program, known as Acts 29.
## Relife NW — $4,000
Relife NW provides mentorship to refugee women. This support is designated for family support services and for Relife to be able to grow their capacity to serve more families.
## The Family Room — $4,500
The Family Room creates compassionate visitation spaces for foster families. Funding supports their Backpack Food Program, serving parents experiencing food insecurity.
