Brilliance Labs and Multiply PDX have launched a new micro-grant program designed specifically for local Portland churches. This matching grant initiative will match up to $800 per church for as many missional ideas as they can encourage their members to carry out. Funding is limited to three churches during this pilot round.
We want to see new initiatives that serve the greater Portland area spring up from the various churches in and around our city. Our hope is to empower Christians to launch new ministries, develop creative outreach strategies, and serve their neighbors while sharing the Gospel through both word and action.
## Eligibility
Applications must meet three criteria:
1. **Local Focus** — Projects must serve Portland and surrounding regions. Examples include an outreach lunch for the neighbors of your church during the holidays or in the summer, care packages for your homeless neighbors, some type of evangelistic event in your church’s neighborhood, an event for kids, a competitive sports event, or training and equipping materials. International missions are not eligible for this particular grant.
2. **Church Mobilization** — Initiatives should mobilize followers of Christ and spread the Gospel message. Projects should engage multiple church members in faith-based community service.
3. **Church Commitment** — Applicants must be actively involved in a local church body.
