Spring 2025 Micro-Granting Round
Spring is in the air! That can only mean one thing… the next Brilliance Labs micro-granting round is here! As is always the case with our micro-grants, we want to hear about what it is that you’re doing to bless the greater Portland area. This time, however, we decided to do something a little different and only focus on local churches for our next round of grants. As a Christian non-profit organization, we would love to see Portland-area churches get a bit more creative in reaching out to their community, equipping their members to engage with their neighbors and serve them well, and find new ways to be salt and light in Portland. We are still very much interested in what our friends in the non-profit and community project spaces are doing and would love to stay in touch and hear about it! However, this granting round will only be limited to local churches.
Here are a couple of ideas to consider for grant proposals:
A project that your church is working on to equip, train, or mobilize your members to reach out to your broader community, evangelize, serve, etc.
An outreach project for the upcoming holidays or maybe for the summer months; this could be a meal, picnic, special event, etc.
Something that’s needed for your church to operate better in order to be a blessing to the greater Portland area.
Design/innovation lab training for growing a ministry, to develop new, creative ways to reach out to your neighbors, learn to better strategize and plan, etc.
Missional grants for ministries to be carried out by your church’s members. This could be “smaller” (think, less formally organized) outreach or serving ideas that one or a few members have come up with in order to reach out to the neighborhood, serve people outside of your church’s walls, or creative evangelistic efforts.
Whatever you’re dreaming up!
If you’re a part of a church and you’re finding new, creative ways to reach Portland with the Good News, we would love to see if we can come alongside you by way of a grant, some form of training or a workshop, or maybe even a combination of the two. The deadline to apply for the next granting round is April 25th.
